How does one get to Colombia? It is easier then you think!
Colombian is the "first" country below Central America, or to put it another way, it is at the "top" of South America. It is also closer to the U.S. then most people realize, with most Colombian cities within a 3 hour flight from the Miami airport. Unfortunately for all of our customers located on the West Coast, most flights to and from Colombia originate from Miami.

Colombian Domestic Airlines
Once you are in Colombia, travel between Colombian cities if very easy. Colombia is home to the first airline (and airport) in South America and has many commuter airlines connecting this mountainous country. Remember, the Andes terminate in Colombia, so air travel is usually the easiest route between many cities. The two main Domestic Colombian Airlines are Avianca and AIRES Air. Both of these Airlines have flights connecting most cities within Colombia. But before you make your reservations, remember to check the Flight Maps to see if you can see if there is a direct flight. Avianca is the larger airline and offers more flights, but mainly flies between the larger cities and uses Bogota as a hub. AIRES Air on the other hand is a much smaller airline and has fewer flights, but flies to the smaller cities. Also, if you plan on flying AIRES Air, you may have to purchase your ticket the day before or earlier to ensure a seat.
